Recently Amplexor has built an intranet with Open Social for VznkuL (the largest collaborative network of Flemish hospitals).
The intranet already existed, built with Open Atrium in Drupal 6. This session will look into several parts in the process of building an intranet using Open Social.
- Selecting software to build the intranet: Comparing several solutions inside and outside the Drupal eco system.
- Building the intranet with the Open Social distribution.
- Pro’s and con’s of Open Social and of using a Drupal distribution
- Migrating D6 users, groups and content to D8 with custom plugins and Drupal console commands
