LocalGov Drupal has been growing quickly in Britain and Ireland as a platform for Local Authorities: so far 44 participating councils, and 16 suppliers, with even more using it.

This session delves into the cutting-edge realm of Progressive Web Apps (PWAs), exploring their innovative potential in conjunction with Headless Drupal and React. Attendees will gain insight into the intricacies of PWA implementation, including step-by-step guidance on integrating PWAs with Headless Drupal. Highlighting the robust offline support inherent in PWAs, as well as the dynamic capabilities of push notifications, the session elucidates how to craft an app-like user experience. Through a live demonstration, participants will witness firsthand the transformative impact of PWAs.

This session is about digital collaboration in Drupal, with the benefits of Microsoft 365. Think of real-time collaboration in Office files, email, calendar, activity log and of course Teams. Fabian de Rijk takes us through the application of the "Microsoft 365 Connector" module (https://www.drupal.org/project/o365) in your Drupal environment and shows examples of how Microsoft 365 works as an extension of your Drupal social intranet, client extranet, collaboration portal or digital workspace.

Progressive decoupling for Drupal was mentioned back in the 2016 DriesNote and has come a long way since then. 

Although there are still downsides and tradeoffs to be made with a decoupled site, through progressive decoupling (rather than full decoupling), there is even more to be gained.

At the University of Hildesheim we teach our students the process of Design Thinking to deal with wicked problems. We realized that the process itself is often sparly documented. For example at the end of a course the student present their final product but if we ask "How did you get there?" then they do not have an adeqaute answer. Thus we have developed a Design Thinking Documentation System based on Drupal.

Drupal’s initiatives work on key improvements for the platform that will make it easier to build and maintain sites as well as create the software itself.  In this keynote, various initiative leads will take turns to highlight new capabilities, challenges they faced on the way and other stories from core development.

As a developers we are offten asked by the clients to do small changes in the theme layer. "Please, can this pink be a bit more pinkier?" It is a tiny change in client eyes, but for us it includes multiple steps to go through the complete workflow and deploy process. How can we help them and ourselves in one go?

What does it take to create a complex, fully decoupled website where Drupal is just managing content and all rendering is performed by a client-side single page application? Surprisingly little. I will demonstrate how we sucessfully utilized Drupal and GraphQL to build a modern customer-facing enterprise web platform.

A session about best practices when setting up Search API, facets and autocomplete in drupal 8, we will discuss the setup in http://drupalsear.ch/, it's configuration, the current shortcomings to this configuration but why we feel this is a good solution anyway.
